Limited and Full AKC Registration Explained

The American Kennel Club (AKC) offers two distinct registration types for dogs, each serving a different purpose. πŸ“œπŸΎ

AKC Limited Registration is designed for family companions and includes a non-breeding agreement. This means that while your dog is registered with the AKC, any offspring cannot be registered and you agree not allow it to produce offspring. Additionally, dogs with limited registration are not eligible for most AKC competitions. The registration certificate for these dogs is marked with an orange border. At Lane Rae Beagles, puppies with limited registration are currently priced at $1,750.00-$2000.00. This ensures your new family member is cherished for companionship, not breeding. 🐢❀️

AKC Full Registration, on the other hand, is reserved for select dogs that are of superior quality for competition and reproduction. These Beagles, with full AKC Registration, can produce AKC-registered puppies and participate in all AKC events and competitions. We agree to sell these puppies to individuals that are already proven to be an accomplished breeder and competition enthusiast with an outright sale or to new individuals, that are new to breeding or dog sports, on a co-ownership with conditions that need to be met, such as health clearances and using a Lane Rae Stud to sire puppies in exchange for a puppy. These AKC Full Registration certificates feature a purple border and puppies with this distinction are priced at $2000.00-$3000.00πŸŒŸπŸ†

If you are interested in becoming involved in breeding or competitions, just let me know. I am happy to provide mentorship for anyone serious about this pursuit.

It's important to be cautious of breeders offering full registration for all their puppies. This may indicate a lack of concern for maintaining breed standards, reputation, or quality.
